Around SBN: Indy 500: Coverage of the 'Greatest Spectacle In Racing'

Another little piece of the 2010 WS Champs walks away.

FIEDLER FER ISHIKIWA! Ishi may have made a good choice here with a chance to grab a 25-man roster spot, with Fiedler walking and only like Mat Gamel and Hunter Morris on the 1b depth chart in the Brewers system. (I may be missing someone totally more famous/obvious). Fielder played 162 games last year and 159 at 1b.

I guess I need to pay attention to the McC adoptee draft for the first time in a few years.

Good luck Travis!

I assume Aramis Ramirez will play 1st for them once the Hebrewer gets back from suspension, but he should get a chance to get a few ABs before then

Ramirez

I assumed Aramis would start at 3rd. Braun is more of a LFer isn’t he?

I guess there is also Taylor Green, a 3b prospect that could push Aramis to 1st, but Green might be tried out at 2b/3b backup (or even 1b).

Duh, brain fart. I forgot they moved braun. I assume Green will be a supersub since there isn’t room for him at 2nd or 3rd for the next 2-3 years

You forgot his GOLD GLOVE DEFENSE???!?!?

And Aramis is perceived as a bit too fragile for the Brewers to ignore the backup-3b position.

Bye Travis! Good luck with the Brewers!

There goes the last of his tribe...

Let us never forget that PA against the Braves in the Wildcard round. A true, unsung hero moment of the championship run.

Idolizing Robb Nen since 2002...

He was a good Giant

It just sucks carrying a 1B as a bench player – you need more defensive versatility than that, even if he is a pretty good defender.
