Anyone know anything about him? Plus fielder in CF with power and Mike Trout comparisons sure sounds intriguing.

Plus defender in CF with 30+ HR power?

What’s the catch? Why have I not heard of this guy until now?

Just because there is too little known about him?

Carter Jurica!

He's a CF. The Giants need a CF. It's a perfect match!

Too bad we don’t have the money to sign him. Although, the idea of having an OF with this guy, Brown, and (maybe) Beltran sounds sweet. I just think the Giants are too risk averse and cheap to be serious players for Cespedes’ services.

That’s just amazing. Too risk averse and cheap to be players for Cespedes; not too risk averse and cheap to pay $9mil for two LOOGY’s of $60 mil for a proven role player or…

There’s at least 3 young 16 year old infielders down in the DomRep that the Giants can sign right now, probably for a total of much less than $1.5M. I’d much rather the Giants go down that path than blow so much on 1 guy like Cespedes.
Yairo Munoz (SS / 6’, 168): Plus D, plus arm, 6.5 sec in 60
Ronniel Demorzi (SS / 5’11", 170) (DOB=7/19/95): Plus D, strong arm, played in the Under-Armour All-American game at Wrigley Field in Aug.
Angel Yente (3B / 6’1"): strong bat, strong D, projectable frame

BTW, the Pads recently swooped in and signed the former apple of my eye, Franmil Reyes, out of the DPL for $700K. Any team could have signed him in the past 3 months. I’m not sure I would have given him that much $$$, but I would have at least been in the ballpark. The Angels have also just signed 2 DPL outfielders for a total of $95K.

The Giants don’t need a CF anymore, Sabes swooped in and grabbed Melky!

He's really good! He's an injury risk! But he's really good! But he'll be expensive! But he's really good! But he's an injury risk!

I don’t know how to translate Cuban numbers into MLE, but his don’t begin to look spectacular enough to me to justify ten million bucks a year.

i was under the impression he was looking for an aroldis chapman type contract which was something like 6 years, 30MM. doubt it matters now that we have melky.

Never in doubt.

He hit 33 HR's

In 90 games. Which is a Cuban record.
