(Sort of) OT: So this Tweeter thing...
After thinking I'd never do it, I joined Twitter yesteday. So now comes the question, who should I follow?
For me, it'll probably be just about baseball and stuff/thougts that I think are amusing/funny.
I added Grant, Baggs, Schulman, Keith Law, Sergio Romo and Daniel Tosh.
Who else do you suggest? Doesn't Panda have an account? What about Old Hoss something or other? Any other McC?

I’ve heard that Rxmeister28 is a interesting guy to follow. He doesn’t tweet that often, but that’s because he has less followers than Michelle Bachman.

So I guess this means the Phillies making it past the 1st round of the 2010 post season was a fluke.

For the most part, I follow colleagues and personal friends, news sites and weather folks. My own Twitter feed has almost nothing to do with crafting social media-based journalism. It’s mainly gushing about guys and re-tweeting Al Roker.
Good ol' Teebs.
But do you gush about Al Roker?
So I guess this means the Phillies making it past the 1st round of the 2010 post season was a fluke.

Definitely follow Old Hoss. Also:

On a non-baseball topic, try out RealTimeWWII, a guy who’s retweeting all of World War II in live time over the next few years. Pretty amazing.
I do recommend a certain webcomic about the Giants and their fans… but that’s just me self-promoting so ignore if you want.

Oh, and...
Dante Shepherd, who does a webcomic called Surviving the World. His tweets are hilarious, and he’s a baseball fan.
Forgive him for being a Red Sox fan, though…

Gary Brown and Garrette Buechele are funny, but, hands-down, the most fascinating Giant to follow is Shawn Payne. Not only is he a prolific (and hyper) tweeter, but he level of his political UNcorrectness can be stunning at times.

There was a tweet this morning from somebody to the effect of, the biggest drawback to following a lot of athletes on twitter is a much higher degree of scripture quoting than one necessarily needs in a given day.
MY DAD WAS WRONG!
MY BOY NEEDS TO THROW HARDER!
Daryl Maday and Chuck Lofgren at times, too.

And also:
It cracks me up how many of the minor league (and the occasional major league) ball players follow supposed girl tweeters with skanky ho profile pictures.

That’s nothing. You should check out the facebook pages of the Giants’ young Caribbean prospects. First off, you’d be surprised how many of these (often dirt-poor) teenagers actually have a facebook account. The vast majority of them probably only have internet access a few times a month, but they do have a facebook account. Then, when you dig deeper, you see that they have upwards of 1,000 “friends” – 95% of whom appear to be Caribbean girls trolling for a boyfriend/husband.

Apart from the other MCC types, I enjoy following the other Giants accounts (listed above).
Also @kellyoxford, @robdelaney, @uncledynamite, @DiscountDracula, @thebibandit, and @DadBoner are great for laughs.
My son, so I'm told. And this stalwart young lad (Hi, free f.p. #14!).
I was realy bummed that the handle "DadBoner" was already taken

Also, since I can’t watch most 49er games, I tend to follow them by reading Jponry’s twitter feed. It’s sort of like the NFL version of a Heisenburg experiment. I can’t see the game, but I can see where it’s been.
