I really don't like my team being linked to ANOTHER murder.

The team isn't linked to a murder

All Tejada is doing is standing by a friend. If you read the news stories closely you’ll notice that Simon wasn’t charged at the site or anything like that. And it’s in the Dominican.

Although, Simon is a former Giant.

The most recent report I've heard is..

…they are looking at charging him with involuntary manslaughter, not murder. He was trying to break up a dispute between a couple of people at the party (neither of which were the two victims), and the gun went off. It was two of his cousins that got injured.

I guess if you’re into being ‘informed’ and ‘reasonable’ that might make sense.

It’s so much more fun being uninformed and unreasonable. These days it’s even a political movement.

Well...

It’s not like whipping a gun around is reasonable way to break up a cat fight (which is the version I’ve read). Particularly since, given the context of a new years eve celebration, it’s possible or likely that Simon was drunk. The 2 years in prison seems, if anything, a light punishment if that version is true.

Of course, if Simon’s lawyer’s version is true, and he was one of a bunch of people randomly shooting in the air and probably didn’t hit his cousin, doesn’t really paint him in a positive light either. If the bullet ends up matching his gun, then it’s more like an admission of guilt than a defense.
