Anyone else missing October, and the torture?

The Black and Orange songs, Ashkon, fly like a G-Men, SF going crazy, the celebrations, the partying, the exciting baseball, the atmosphere in the bay area, I miss it way too much. The rest of my favorite teams, the 49ers warriors sharks, aren't doing much to keep me lifted, even the Sharks are disappointing. I miss watching baseball more than ever, even though I don't watch it a lot, only Giants games. From game 1 of the Atlanta Braves series, to Game 5 of the World Series, the playoffs had me and everyone else hooked. Nothing makes a city come alive more than a successfull sports team, and it was just a fun ride. Sports here have been sucking for a while, and though it would be awesome for the Sharks to get it together and make a huge playoff run, the Giants will always be remembered for reviving a grieving fan base, and Bay Area. I know we got the trophy, but if I could go through it all once again, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but guess we got to wait another long 9 months for MLB playoffs(I don't have cable so I can't watch all the Giants games). But yeah anyone else missing the experience that was the Giants 2010 playoff run?

thanks to the WORLD CHAMPION GIANTS,

the winter doldrums are a month shorter than last year. At least 2 months if you count the afterglow.

Yes

It really kept me going. I miss baseball in general, but the constant torture was like a breath of fresh air, in some strange, masochistic way.

Got that for my mom for Christmas

Nice thing about the WS win is that it makes people who are usually hard to buy for but Giants fans very easy to buy for.

Finshed watching this set yesterday

I ended it with Game 3. Meh. I may never watch that one again.

Honestly, I miss baseball less than I have in any other January of my life. I’m still counting down the days until pitchers and catchers report but I’m not pacing around AT&T Park, staring through the gate on the portwalk, yearning for baseball on my lunch breaks like I normally am at this time of year.

You going to join the estimated 40,000 people at Fan Fest?

Right now I’m leaning towards no due to the crowds, but someone will probably convince me otherwise.

I was going to go but I heard that crowd estimate and thought “ooh. I’m not so sure anymore”.

Is this a rhetorical question?

Brian Sabean strongly encourages you to disregard the drudgery of your employment responsibilities and join him in the consumption of spirituous libations.

Meh

I’m a Sharks fan. The torture is pretty much a year long experience. Can’t wait for baseball to take me away from the ice, though.
