Sabean calls the Dodgers a JV team..
...jokingly. But it still was awesome, and pretty funny.
In his bi-weekly interview with the Razor and Mr. T, towards almost the end.

And yet the jayvees are still considerably a much worse team than Sabean’s giants.
I have my bones with Sabean, but let’s not portray Ned Colletti as a saint either.
Carlos Santana for Casey Blake
Mannywood
Andruw Jones signing
Jason schmidt signing
Downgrading at 2b with Dewitt for Theriot
Juan Pierre Signing(almost as bad as Rownads contract)
Scott Podsednik as the savior.
Farm System now in the shitter thanks to Coletti, compared with The Giants recent string of 3 great draft picks in a row from 06-08.(Bum, Tim, Posey).
Sabean has his faults, no doubt, but I’d take him over Coletti any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Trading DeWitt for Theriot made absolutely zero sense.
I wonder what his thought process was for that one.

Theriot
=Gamer. He heard of delusional cubs fans calling him “Rhyno” and thought he must be a stud.

Meanwhile...
Sabean traded a .250 hitting A Ball centerfielder for a similar(and IMO better) middle infielder in Fontenot.

Have you guys noticed that Theriot is a dead ringer for Barry Lamar Zito?

Every team makes bad signing. Thats why games are played between the lines, not on computers. The difference between the Giants and successful, (meaning making the post season more than once every eighteen years)teams like the Dodgers and Angels and Phillies and Cardinals and Braves is that they get rid of their bad signings the same way you would get rid of 3 week old room-temperature mayonnaise.
Off the top of my head the only other GM who seems to hang on to stiffs long after they should be spending their week-ends at Bernie’s is the Minaya clown in Metsville.
And its because they keep hanging onto old wormy meat like Rowand, Molina, Winn, Renteria etc, that they end up having to start 3 designated hitters who were either dfa’d or non-tendered in the off-season in the field every night. And that two of those guys are carrying this team should tell you more than anything that Sabean’s ineptitude when it comes to long-term planning, continues unabated, and in fact will probably be rewarded by yet another extension if the Padres and Rockies somehow collapse in the last 3 weeks of the season

Sabean is stupid
Ever read about how Giants manager Bill Terry when asked about the Brooklyn Dodgers replied, “are they still in the league?” The Dodgers used that for inspiration and beat them in a late season series that ruined their playoff chances. The Dodgers are dead right now and playing out the string. Why give them motivation?

Highly doubt
The dodgers even get wind of this. It’s not in print, just a small snide comment made jokingly by Sabean to Ralph and Tom.

I'm tweeting this to Rhianna
Sabean’s stupidity must be exposed!

Really?
A throwaway, joking comment made by a GM towards his former assistant GM and (presumably) friend is used for inspiration for a team that’s all but given up? We’re really reaching for Sabean hate here.
Sabean's son is hella funny.
So it wouldn’t surprise me if Sabes had some sort of sick humor deep in there.

Fuck
As dead in the water as the Dodgers are, we still get Kershaw, Billingsley and Lilly in this upcoming series. Won’t be easy.
