So right now I have a couple of questions regarding baseball statistics.
1.) Is WAR really a better way to rate a player than AVG/OBP/OPS? I never get why its bad to say the hitter is good because of his average,
2.) What's is UZR and BABIP? the only thing I think of when is see BABIP is bloops
3.) Is WHIP really a good statistic to keep an eye on. I mean I have watched some Mets games where the pitcher has an era over 5 but has a whip of 1.26 or something? I feel that statistic is often misleading.
Now as far as history questions: Was Bengie Molina statistically the best catcher the Giants ever had? I mean Buster Posey is probably going to have better numbers and be over the "Will Clark" stats. But someone said he was and I told them they were crazy. They hadn't actually watched a Giants game?
What has caused this rivalry between McCoven and 22gigantes. Other then the fact the guy pulls "facts" out of his ass, I don't see why he has so much hatred towards McCoven.
