This stereoview, "Leaping to Stand Rock" aka "Leaping the Chasm", was created in 1886 by H. H. Bennett in the Wisconsin Dells. The subject is his son, Ashley, who made the jump (and the return jump, which Bennett also photographed) safely. In fact, a number of Bennett's children made the leap (or perhaps they laid a ladder across, who knows), and had a picnic on Stand Rock.
