I’m not sure how to evaluate Tim Lincecum. Just watching baseball over the years, pitchers can just stop being good. Usually there’s an injury, but not always. Of course, when I attempt to find examples, I can’t, so, I guess I’m supposed to be optimistic that he can return to form or at least settle into THIRD STARTER AT BEST-territory?
I don’t see how. He’s not Wellemeyer bad, but he’s certainly not good any more.

Well, as others have said, it’s true that he’s not pitching like a Cy Young award winner anymore recently, but it’s not as though he’s got a 7.00 ERA since the ASB or something.

I’m just hoping that this offseason he can concentrate on getting ready for the 2011 season without all the distractions, both positive and negative.
The moment where I noticed a difference in Timmy was awhile ago when he was taking a throw back from Huff. Timmy just sort of made a half assed grab and didn't catch the ball. He didn't have that intense focus, like he was somewhere else, not entirely
present. He’s had glimpses of his past greatness, but more often than not he’s been out of the zone; the strike zone and in his game plan. I keep waiting for him to snap out of it.
Lot of bizarre stuff
Like two pitches flying out of his hand. 5 pitch warm up between innings – forcing him to stand around as they wait to start. Just funky stuff. We forget sometimes they are human. At least I do. Who the hell knows – maybe he’s got some personal stuff he’s fighting. We all can be impacted at the office by stuff at home.

Going with the best potential offense has not worked out.
