Giants sign 6th round pick Kickham for $410K
Baseball America is reporting that the Giants have announced the signing of their 6th round draft pick, Mike Kickham, the 6'4" LHP from Missouri State Univ. Kickham is a power pitcher that throws his FB in the low 90s and tops out around 95 mph. He was a draft-eligible sophomore, so he's younger than most of his college draft class.
The Giants have agreed to terms with sixth-round pick Mike Kickham for $410,000. That's well in excess of MLB's recommended $150,000 maximum for picks after the fifth round, and the largest bonus San Francisco has given a 2010 draftee to date. The Giants have yet to sign first-rounder Gary Brown or second-rounder Jarrett Parker.

This is good news. Our first true left-handed power pitcher since MadBum and Dirty Sanchez. He has a lot in common with Sanchez. A ton of velocity, ptoential, and deception, but he’s also raw and wild.

So he's an SP?
Cool. I like hard throwing lefties.

Me likey.

I couldn't be prouder of my recent adoptee - Tim Lincecum's dealer. He provides the secret fuel behind both Cy Youngs. Also, he taught Timmy the change-up.

Hey Fla-Giant
Thanks for all your shared research on Giants draftees. Keith Law, Ben Badler, Jim Callis et. al. got nothin’ on you.

This is an italic signing.

I feel so powerful
That was cool. I did a cut-and-paste on this fanpost over on Andy Seiler’s mlbbonusbaby.com blog. Somebody moved it to the front page and the dangling modifier italicised the entire front page!!!!!! I fixed it, but I’ll have to remember that the next time I want to sabotage a site.
