PrintGiants in need for a bat, blah blah blah. Everyone knows here that the giants want one more bat for this post season run. So I will throw out another name and see what you all think. Jorge Cantu.
Funny the marlins seems to be listening to offers for him, the giants need a bat, and they happen to be in SF playing the giants. Hmmm.

Actually, I’d rather they sign Garko or someone over Cantu. I’m not sure there is much of a difference between the two.

Why?
Cantu has an OBP of .309 and can’t play defense. As near as I can tell, he’s worse than all of the Giants’ current infielders. What role would he have on the team?

1. Cantu can hit, 2. Cantu is ok at first base 3. Cantu sux as a third baseman.
He made 2 errors the other day in the 8th vs the braves opening the floodgates for an 8 run
inning for Atlanta. He has never been a good thirdbaseman. First base is his natural
position and we don’t need him.
