So I'm a Giants fan that lives in Karnes City, Texas (it's between Floresville and Goliad, if that helps) and a friend of mine who has been living in SF for the last few years said something to me the other day that I thought was very interesting.
He said that San Francisco is absolutely, hands-down, a Giants town. Now what he meant by this was that people are ape-poop about the Giants, as compared to the 49ers.
He said the support he sees on a daily basis for the Giants, and the amount of talk about them he hears on a regular basis, far exceeds that which he sees for the 49ers during football season. Considering the success of the 49ers as compared to the Giants (albeit not recently), I found that very interesting.
Would people who live in SF on this posting board agree? I've only been to SF a few times when I was young, so I don't really have any personal experience. I'm just curious if people think the same, and if so, if there are any theories as to why this is.
