Former first round pick in 2007 with a 92-94 MPH fastball.  Suffered a bizarre setback last year with a viral infection, yet people are really high on his potential.  Scouts have him as a potential middle of the rotation pitcher, and someone I think who could look really good in our system.  I think he replaces an overrated Tim Alderson as far as prospects go, and we watch him move up and hope he is able to stay healthy.  Scouts say he has the possibility of two plus pitches (his fastball and his curve) with an average or slightly better change up.  I'm impressed by this haul.  It seems like Brian Sabean actually swindled someone.  Who saw that coming?
