Yeah, you would definitely have to regress those numbers toward the mean in order for them to have any real predictive value. It’s still a larger than normal platoon split, though.
I guess all I’m saying is that I would rather have Posey hit against a lefty instead of Sandoval. The right answer of course is to let them both hit (pinch hitting Posey for either Rowand or Renteria). But that’s not gonna happen.
