hypothetical: on the Torres outfield assist last night
if it had been Molina running at second instead of the guy from the Rockies, do you think Torres would have had a chance for the force at third? Better hypothetical--could Torres have run all the way in from right field to tag Molina at the plate if he had wanted to? In order to make the game fair, should we insist that teams have to tag Molina out without a throw?
By the way, let me apologize in advance to Bengie Molina, his mother, his entire family, and anyone else that might read this and be offended (I'm looking at you, Schulman). No need to get upset, I am just kidding around.

Thread hijack: Summer TV
Anything you guys looking forward to?
I have a guilty pleasure in True Blood. It’s pretty bad, but laughably entertaining. Also, Penn & Teller: Bullshit is starting soon (I hope) and that should be fun. Other than that it’s just bad baseball and waiting for September.
I just started watching Pawn Stars for some reason. It’s a fun little show that is like a cross between American Chopper and Antiques Roadshow. The family seems to like each other, which is an improvement.

Another White Collar fan! I think it’s coming back on July 13. I’m also waiting for Psych, which is coming back around that time as well.
Somewhere in the minor leagues, Joe Paterson is pitching.
I love Psych

I think USA deserves 5th network status. They’ve got quite a bit of quality programming. And Psych is the best show since The Mentalist.
Goodbye, Steven Johnson, we hardly knew ye. Seriously, that was short.
I feel like this will be unpopular
but I’m waiting for Entourage to start again

John Bowker: One of the 3 best OF's on the Giants roster
I still watch it but it kinda feels like they’re running out of ideas. Maybe get a new up an coming actor for Ari to manage or something.
The Giants don’t fare well against pitchers.
Yeah it is kinda repetitive
I still enjoy it though, and Ari is a terrific character.

Pawn Stars is HELLA scripted
Every. single. thing. is. fake.
Tried True Blood, couldn’t do it. The accents alone were enough to ruin it for me, and then there was the vampire bullet time bullshit. Ugh.

Justified, 30 Rock, Party Down, It’s Always Sunny, Archer, Tim & Eric

top gear. I dont know how more people don’t watch this show. My girlfriend hates car shows and loves Top Gear. Isnt the history channel gonna pick up an american version?

The Americans will probably ruin it.

This
The Top Gear on BBC America is years behind, no? And getting Americans to watch a show where gas is referred to as petrol is a dicey proposition at best. Also, on Comcast, BBC is an SD only channel, so a lot of the lovely car porn photography loses its punch. And those three guys are total wankers… doesn’t stop me from watching though.
Utter frustration and futility.

We used to have TopGear on the Tivo list, when we had to switch to comcrap I don’t think it ever got added. We both like that show, though we do fast forward through some of it.
I fast forward through the Star in the Reasonably price car interview.

I did watch the Marky Mark interview though.

Elmore Leonard
I think that it’s “justified” any time someone wants to adapt a novel of his for TV or a movie.

I think it’s good, but a bit overrated. It’s not on the level of the best shows on TV, and F/X alone has several shows I like more. In fact, if we’re handing out “5th network” status (as suggested upthread aways), I’d nominate F/X well before USA.

ARE WE HAVING FUN YET!!!!
I hope party down will be on the air for a few more seasons.
I just started watching True Blood, and it is entertaining. I love how Meekus from Zoolander is a old Viking badass.
Sons of Anarchy?
Starts again in september I think and HBO has a new show Boardwalk Empire coming out at the start of summer that looks pretty cool. I suggest watching the trailer
Great ending to season 2!

I watch bengie try to run. I sit down in my wheelchair, and roll down the block and comeback
Bengie is still rounding first on a shot to triples alley 3 minutes ago. The shot equals an Aubrey Huff inside the park home run, or a Bengie single. Bengie leads the world in off the wall singles. He would lead the world in triples if he just had average speed. The guy makes contact except when Uribe is on first and Bochy calls the hit and run. Then he K’s. According to the post game show we do not need to bench Rowand and Bengie a combined 6 for their last 90 before last nights chance hits, we need them to start hitting. How about playing some guys that could have collectively gone 12 for 90 with some pop?
