Jeff Suppan, Anyone?

He was pitchin well for the brewers pre-2010. Why not give him a shot considering how badly Wellemeyer has been on the road especially? The Giants can sign him to a minor league deal and if he does well in Fresno, after a few days they can call him up to make a start.

I wouldn’t say he pitched well for the Brewers last season. Not well at all really. We have a few 5th starter options in the minors already that would probably give the same performance at worst. I’d rather go with someone like JOEY and see if he can stick around as a good 4/5 guy.

Dude is atrocious.

He’s had an FIP in the 5’s the past two seasons and isn’t projected to do much better (and hasn’t)… Whereas Joe Martinez’ CHONE projections going into the 2010 season has him at a 4.53 FIP… I’m much more willing to give that guy a shot.
