Truthfully speaking, I have no issue with Torres starting over Bowker right now. He has speed and plays sensational defense and gets on base enough.
It is the decision to bench Nate in order to get Renteria / Uribe / Sanchez into the lineup together. Against a right hander. That has me pounding my head on the desk.

. . . they can not only play four outfielders 3/4 time each, they can also play three middle infielders 2/3 time each. Not rocket science, except perhaps to former Padre catchers.
