I don't think I've ever felt this frustrated as a fan in my entire life. Honestly, the Giants front office is ridiculous. Every time I see Sanchez, Cain, Zito, or Timmy walk off the mound after giving up 2 runs but still in line for the loss, I want to throw my monitor out the window. Postseason baseball is where great pitching really comes into play with 3-man rotations, and the Giants would probably be unstoppable if they had any sort of formidable offense. The thing is they don't. Then I read articles like this in the SFGate...
"Well, we didn't get a run today, so I can't say the lineup change worked," said Bochy, who is planning to stick with Torres as the leadoff man. "We're just going through a tough stretch right now.
"These are the times that test you."
Are you !@#$ing kidding me. A tough stretch? Where do you see hope in this offense? It's full of #7 hitters. No combination of our players will ever amount to anything. I don't care if DeRosa comes back, I don't care if Sanchez returns to form, this team is ridiculous.
I need help. I can't watch this team and devote this much time to a front office that refuses to field an offense capable of seeing 3 pitches an AB. Being a Giants fan, I devoutly follow the team and watch almost every game, or box score/gamecast. I seriously want to cancel my MLB.tv subscription and never buy another Giants game ticket ever again. But I can't.
Somebody please tell me the future is brighter, because after hitting .144 over the last 5 losses, I want to pull my hair out. I don't know how much longer I can see Rowand retired on 2 pitches or Molina only get to first on a ground rule double. There's no good free agents out there either. If Dye or Burrell are added, we will still suck. Nothing makes me optimistic right now, which is sad for a team with 4 Cy Young candidates.
