Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

As always, LOL Eric Byrnes.

"The pressure is off former Major League baseball player Eric Byrnes. Byrnes got his first hit, a deep home run to left-center, for the Dutch Goose softball team in Menlo Park, CA. He went 2-for-3 (2 home runs) in the 5-2 victory over Vintage Construction."

There's just something so terribly depressing about this

You go from living the dream of being called up to the Majors, to a (relatively) few years later jogging around the bases of an all-dirt field that has 1 person visible sitting in the 3 rows of bleachers.

I have to wonder what he’s thinking. Is it really that he doesn’t mind, like he said, or is it more of a feeling of “how the hell did I end up here?”

He is still being paid by the Arizona Diamondbacks the remaining amount of his contract (around $11 million).

The Giants offseason moves - "meh"
Proud father of 2-time Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum, who could do whatever he wants to do.

I know

And if money’s all he cares about, he’s probably loving life.

But I always got the impression he loved being in baseball, even if he was overmatched a lot of the time.

I think he's just having fun

No stress, no criticism, no financial worries. It doesn’t sound too bad.

I guess that’s true. It just seems like such a far cry from where he’d been a couple years ago that I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some kind of letdown to it.

But maybe not. I hadn’t considered the pressure and criticism.

Well

Most of these guys are hyper competitive, so you’re probably on the mark.

I feel bad for the other teams. They have to be thinking, “What the fuck? This is bullshit.” First team to get in touch with Bonds is going to be happy.

Softball is fun. Its played by millions of people that aren’t getting paid millions of dollars. Why wouldn’t it be fun for him too?

But this is America, money is supposed to be everyone’s A-1 motivation in life.

Brian Sabean strongly encourages you to disregard the drudgery of your employment responsibilities and join him in the consumption of spirituous libations.

He’s wearing his hat backwards. Classy!

Man, I wish he was on my softball team.

I feel prickishly demanding!

I couldn't be prouder of my recent adoptee - Tim Lincecum's dealer. He provides the secret fuel behind both Cy Youngs. Also, he taught Timmy the change-up.
