The only way I know of would be to use the splits function on the team stats page on espn.com for each team. For example, the Giants numbers for #7 hitters this year are .264/.309/.425. Last year, it was .282/.336/.457, which seems impossibly high to me, but Schierholtz, ishikawa and Rowand all apparently tore it up hitting 7th last year..

But even if you had the numbers it would be a hard thing to determine because you can’t use the small sample size from this year, and you certainly can’t use Whiteside’s (17 AB) small sample size from this year (.353/.389/.882), which would beat most team’s #3 hitters. If anything, you should use his career line (.244/.280/.391).

which is why i’d be in favor of pedro. or hoping the yankees overreact and sell off javier vazquez for nothing.

It’s worth watching. The special effects have aged really poorly and some of the acting is wooden, but it’s a really interesting show. It’s a whole, big, huge five-year story arch. Very bleak and dystopian, at least through the first two seasons, and from what I gather it only gets more so.

This is all based on some tweets from a Sean Farnham, so who knows how credible it is.

He basically said he doesn’t like the way the Posey situation has been handled and that he had to wait for two years in the minors when he was ready to come up and it is part of paying your dues.

Here's the thing about the Jazz

They get fantastic production from essentially free talent. Wes Matthews was an undrafted free agent rookie. So was Fesenko, so was Ronnie Price. CJ Miles was a second round draft pick, so was Boozer, so was Millsap. Lesson for the Giants? Great scouting can find guys who can play, especially when you’ve got great coaching and a great system.

again, gameday concurs

Actually both pitches 5 and 6 were strikes. But 5 was at the bottom of the zone, which we know kinda floats both by batter and ump judgment. The inside corner should really be fixed by the edge of the plate.
