Hi - I don't comment on the site much, but I've been reading it fairly regularly for about a year now. I've been a Giants fan since I was about 5 years old, when my family and I lived in the Bay Area for a couple of years, but I am from, and live in, the UK.
I've wanted to get back to see the Giants play for years (the last time I was at a Giants game it was at Candlestick and Will Clark was playing first base) and have now finally organized it. I get into town on the 25th of May just in time for the upcoming home stand and will be there for a week, and I'm pretty damn excited about it.
Anyway, needless to say I plan to attend quite a few games, including at least one Timmy day. I'm looking for any advice you guys would have on how to get the most out of my trips to the ballpark, and also any non-baseball stuff (places to go/eat/drink/whatever) you'd recommend I do while I'm in town. I've done some of the obvious touristy stuff in the past so some slightly more unusual ideas or personal favorites would be quite cool.
Of course it's still possible that that Icelandic volcano will spew out another massive cloud of flight disrupting ash and I'll end up spending the week at home rocking back and forth and quietly crying to myself...
I also want to take this chance to say a big thanks to everyone who contributes to this site - it's nice to know there are others out there wondering things like 'what is the actual practical use of Eugenio Velez?', and it doesn't hurt that it's a pretty entertaining read too.
