One Incredible Opening Day - In Photos
This was truly an Opening Day that I will never forget. My dad and I arrived early (as usual) and were some of the first people in the yard.
We settled into our seats to enjoy the finer things in life... sun, batting practice and the company. When suddenly the girls of the Orange and Black Attack come ask us "can you guys act stupid?"
Yes. I am McCoven
Our reward?
Renel gave us a wave.
And the smile couldn't be wiped from either of our faces.
We all know how the game went... LOLineup, THROW STRIKES _______ (Giants Pitcher), Holy ghost of Renteria!, Ground Attack FTW!, etc.
As the crowd filed out Dad and I sat back, put our feet up and sang at the top of our lungs along with Tony.
Tomorrow I will be back in section 328 but I'm sure it will take a while for this grin to be wiped from my face. Amazing day.

I was a little bummed that I missed the game in Modesto last night. I wound up working late and didn’t get there until about 8:30 but I think today more than made up for it.

What are those seats you are in?

They are the StubHub upgrade of the game promotion seats.

So they just randomly pick fans out of the stands? I’d always wondered how people got to sit there.

Yeah you have to be in the upper deck.
So if your seats are up there, and it’s just two of you, I suggest getting there as early as possible (which I recommend anyway). They had us in our seats around the time that the Braves started their round of BP.

That’s nothing but awesome.
I couldn't be prouder of my recent adoptee - Tim Lincecum's dealer. He provides the secret fuel behind both Cy Youngs. Also, he taught Timmy the change-up.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing
Although you should have had the 4th gal from the left sit on your lap for the picture…and the rest of the game.
Proudly adopted Aubrey Huff. You can't beat that!
The cold green claw of envy is raking across your back as you read this. Also, congrats on looking not pubescent anymore! The orange and black attack girls must have had something to do with that.
Ryan Rohlinger lives in my basement. I let him out to play baseball.
Funny
While talking baseball with one of the seemingly 500 people that stopped to ask “How’d you get these seats?” One guy asked if I was interested in playing for the traveling team he coaches this summer…
It was an U18 team.

I’m really glad you had such a good time at the game! If I had known you were an McC guy up there, I would have came up and said hi. I’m one of the Orange and Black Attack members too and was busy during the time of that photo, otherwise I would have been there too (but it looks like you wouldn’t have wanted me there anyways since you had the girls with you.)
YOU EAT YOUR DAMN EGGROLL
We could have shopped you out of the photo
Next time you’re up in 328 feel free to say hi… or throw me a t-shirt .

Her and the second from the right are damn foin.
Proud father of Mark Gardner(29 years my senior): mastermind of our airtight relief corps, local boy, and owner of an unofficial no-no against the Dodgers.
Pure Epicness
You won that one.
Matt Cain: throwing complete game shutouts since 06'. No big deal.
