Would rather have Frandsen.
Adopted father of the prettiest player in the organization, Nestor Rojas.
we are short on people that can actually play SS (and no, Frandsen can’t)

Neither can Berroa.
He has a career UZR/150 of -7.1.

THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME (for 3 days in 1995).

I don’t know that Berroa is better than Betancourt, other than the fact that Berroa is less likely to actually make it to the ML team.
Jonathan Sanchez: Often maddening to watch, but capable of perfection on a moment's notice---just like his adoptive father.

Dude was Rookie of the Year.
Adopted Giant: Mike Krukow.
Grab Some Pine, Meat
K.F.I.S.T.F.
Hoping for BowkerMania to get consistent playing time at AT&T Park
it’s probably a reflection on the fact that Brandon Crawford is in AA

there is a freeze on promoting guys that aren’t hitting

I like it. Occasionally one of these guys will recover some skills à la Andres Torres.
But I’d like to see Rohlinger playing short regularly at Fresno.
Sabean in his never ending quest to make sure the Giants have the worst players in major league baseball.
Dumped Edgar Renteria and adopted Buster Posey. Biggest upgrade since George Jefferson moved up to a deluxe apartment on the east side!

Brian Sabean: Going for the World Series with 3 hearts and no fairies.
Adoptive father of the enigmatic Michael Sandoval, and living vicariously through his proximity to Joe Mauer and the Panda.
SAbean: But its the Bay Area why would I need those.

I never understand how people can dislike a move like this
It costs no money (relative to the finances of a MLB team), there is no commitment to the player, it’s not going to hurt the development of any legitimate prospect, it’s not going to preclude any other possible moves. What is the downside? If he actually plays well maybe he makes it to the MLB team, otherwise he languishes in Fresno and we will forget he is even there (like Ramon Ortiz).

I wouldn't want a player like him making the team.

unless he tears it up in AAA or the team gets desperate, he won’t

Even Fresno SS spot should be valubile this season. Let Rhlinger play SS mre so he could be a legit cheep utily INF guy and if Crawford picks up his OBP a bit moveing him up a level and into the Pacific time zone is not a bad thing either.

Crawford, as much as I love the guy, (go Bruins!) hasn’t hit since his sophomore year at UCLA outside of 1 month in the Cal League, I think we can call it a trend by now. Blocking or moving Rohlinger shouldn’t keep anybody up at night.

Dude hit .143 last year in the majors with a .391 OPS. It was only 49 at bats, but if the Giants call him up and he does that, you think he might hurt the team?

Last I check Crawford is OBP around 320’s and around 130-140 ISO ( slg- ba , sorry but I forget the newer designation for that type of ISO) in the SSS that is the 2010 season. I am not all fired up about him but it promising compared to last year 298 OBP in AA. Besides I think it is very likely Crawford would out produce Angel in from 2011-2014 or at least not dramatically under produce so I rather they take teh risk with the play time on the kid.
Then considering the gritty veteran love fest parts of this management team has would only be mildly surprised with the would consider a required Luis Figueroa a lock to be the heir to Renteria next season. My preference is not even close. I don’t trust HHIIEAAD being able to hands on any vertan scrub and useing said scrub correctly.

This doesn't bother me
because it’s basically just picking up a roll of duct tape on sale and stashing it in your closet “just in case”
