Really no one’s fault that we’re gonna lose this game, it’s more just one piece of bullshit falling into place after the other, but if there is one particular person to blame, I’d blame Bochy. I wasn’t really mad when he pulled Timmy, but at the same time I thought his leash was kinda short after the game that Timmy had just had. Maybe he should have waited until the tying run had made it up before he called for Wilson.
Again, Bochy made the right move. Did you see Timmy’s last 4 pitches? Too gassed to face the heart of the order.

Well, hindsight’s always 20/20. In retrospect, he definitely should have let Timmy pitch to at least one more hitter, but at the time it seemed like Wilson would be able to easily get 2 outs without giving up 3 runs.

It is a high leverage situtation you chose the best precentage situation ( closer in this case) and you place your bets.

I say that Giants’ baseball is funnier because we know the team a whole lot more. The in-jokes only add to the experience. Anybody who just comes to watch a Giants game would just say that Velez sucks, but we know the depths of that suckery and can instantly recall previous instances. Similarly, we are intimately familiar with their brand of losing.
