I think he must be hurt. He left a game about a week ago after a HBP and Zambrano’s been playing catcher ever since then. I’m guessing something in the concussion or broken hand bone categories.
My Bucardo is better than yours.
A hot August weekday, before a small crowd, when the only thing at stake is the tissue-thin difference between a thing done well and a thing done ill. Insofar as the clutch hitter is not a sportswriter's myth, it is a vulgarity, like a writer who writes only for money.

The very bad man who traded my first son non-tendered my replacement son. F*ck you Brian Sabean. Leave my children alone.
Bring up Posey!
Neal sucks!
So does Kieschnick.
And Joseph.
Actually just about everyone is sucking.

Brandon Belt is tearing up the Cal League so far.
If God had intended us not to rosterbate, he would've made our arms shorter.
Illegitimate father of Craig Clark...Bringing WINZ to a boxscore near you.
It looks like Neal and Joseph have good walk rates so far. That gives me hope, as I expect their other numbers to rebound.
I feel prickishly demanding!
I couldn't be prouder of my recent adoptee - Tim Lincecum's dealer. He provides the secret fuel behind both Cy Youngs. Also, he taught Timmy the change-up.
