I just don't get it. What is it that Bochy has against young everyday players not named Sandoval? Bowker gets off to a decent start - hits an HR in game 2 and is getting a hit a game. Then the Giants face back to back lefties and he sits. Then he struggles in a couple games and all of a sudden its Nate in right. Now I don't have a dog in this fight. Truth be told, if I favor anyone its Nate. BUT - how bout sticking a guy in RF and letting him have a couple hundred at bats before you decide if he can handle the job. This "revolving door" helps no one. It is hard enough to produce at the ML level without thinking if you go 0-8 in back to back games that you risk losing the job.
Over and over and over again the Giants brass has done this to "younger" (by that I mean service in the ML) players. And it doesn't work. If Bowker was the guy out of spring, he shouldn't lose the job cause he gets off to a slow start over 10 games.
BTW - you could see this coming a mile away. It's Bochy's MO and it sucks.
