It’s expensive if you pay full ride, but everyone I know is on a scholarship where it would cost more for them to go to their state schools. One girl pays around $1000 a year. They’re really good about giving out money to people.

Well, when you think about it, farming cause people to settle down, eventually leading to cities and crowding. Crowding caused massive amounts of disease from the filth piled up and the close proximity of people. The spread of disease from those cities to places that were largely based on hunting/gathering almost wiped out entire cultures. So it certainly wasn’t a completely good thing.

Settled agriculture was around for many moons before cities came along.

Cities were not a result of farming. That’s different than saying they needed farms to feed them.

Of course it’s not as simple as cities being a “result” of farming. But farming was essential to the formation of cities. It was a key piece of the puzzle. A much bigger piece of the puzzle than industry considering cities were around a lot earlier than industry.
