OT: I hate when professors put assignments in .pptx and .docx
Why can’t they just be .ppt or .doc? Why do they have to get all fancy on us and make us download the previewer when we already have the programs – albeit older versions of them – already installed on our computers??

I’m sure it wouldn’t be horrible, I just haven’t gotten a chance to do anything in it but at one of our work computers, where I don’t really use it as i would normally, just opening and closing files.

Actually, it’s kind of a joke. Freaking 20 page limit. I have 14 pages of methods at the moment in an “appendix”.
Ahh, 20 pages? That’s not too bad. One of my friends accidentally signed up for a senior seminar this year as a freshman, and she had to write a 40 page thesis.
But then again, you do have to try and talk about something for 20 pages. No envying you here.

I hate using Photoshop and Dreamweaver on a Mac. I know that sounds weird, but I just hate all the little windows cluttering up my screen. And I have yet to figure out how to consistently work the home network sharing between my mom’s Mac and my PC, but it might be because of the whole different OS thing.

Nah, I have my own laptop PC for my other classes. It’s just for Web Design, we all have to use the Mac desktops so there’s some continuity in the lessons and so everyone doesn’t have to go out and buy/illegally download all the Adobe software.

Lucky for me, the lab is only a 7 minute walk (and 3 minute bike ride) from my dorm, so working on projects isn’t a hassle. It’s just having to learn the ins and outs of Macs while also doing the exercises that’s annoying (and by doing the exercises, I mean going on Facebook).
