I liked seeing in the Chron this morning something that was along the lines of “Rentaria is swinging free and easy, making good contact and finally hitting the ball to the right side again – despite his .222 average, he’s looking great! He’s also being far more patient than ever before – even though he only has two walks.”

I would have liked to keep going. “He’s also in the best shape of his life – despite being less visibly in shape than he was last year. He’s also playing great defense – despite the fact that these stats are telling me it’s been average at best. He’s also really running the bases well – just don’t try to watch him run them! He’s also a really great clubhouse guy – even though I’m pretty sure he punched the entire infield in the faces. He’s also….”
