you have to watch through Boxee
right? I don’t know if that’s a good or bad thing. I’ve seen folks complaining about their flash player (NERDS).
"I treat Timmy differently from most pitchers: I leave him alone."- Giants pitching coach Dave Righetti
"What do I want you to do? What are you doing in the National League?"- John McGraw
"117 elements, and still no Stanfurdium"- carp (paraphrased)
Perhaps I was not clicking to the right spot, but it appears that it is 19.95 per month on the MLB page.
I imagine this is contrary to the desires of MLB to fleece us,
and it’ll go the way of Mad Men Youtube clips.

yeah, it might be dead now. have to go thru the link on slickdeals as there was prob some deal with Boxee that MLB did not intend for the general public. i got it and am able to stream the Tigers vs Phils right now, just barely though, with my netbook over mobile.

For those of you that have used MLB.TV before….how good is the HD quality? I’m wondering if I hook my computer up to my HDTV if it will actually show in HD. On the same note, are most of the Giants’ games available in HD?

Looks pretty flawless on a monitor (fullscreen on my 24" monitor at 1920×1080). I don’t know if the stream is actually 1920×1080.. I kind of doubt it.
You’ll also want a very solid internet connection.

The locals want $64/mo for 20 mpbs feed.
A 12 will do the trick, that’s only $56.
I’m thinking about it.

I "grrr"d because a very solid Internet connection is something I do not have.
Had I been aware of the bandwidth requirements for good video reception and that I fell short of them I probably would not have sprung for MLB – TV in the idiotically impulsive fashion that I did.
Now if I bag wired service I’ll be mentally adding the monthly tab to the price of MLB – TV.

It’s really excellent. I doubt it would show up in full HD on the TV (certainly will not fill up the TV screen, my computer never has), but the quality will probably still be pretty good. Almost all of the Giants games are in HD, and ditto to what fwoty oz said about the very good Internet connection, it just isn’t worth it otherwise.
If you have a Mac, Apple TV would probably be able to do full HD on your TV. And you could feel condescending about it.

Play-On
If you have an Xbox360 or PS3 this will stream mlb.tv over it. Only issue is it’s about $40.

Yea. I’ve gotten a few of the good deals that were typos or mess ups on Amazon, they just refund and don’t send it.

A start for Kevin Pucetas is a start for Not Bumgarner. And don't you want Not Bumgarner in the Giants rotation?
