I love Roscoes!!!! My favorite place to eat whenever I go home

Congrats to my soul mate and birth brother Zach Wheeler on being drafted into greatness. Should I just buy my Wheeler jersey now, or wait till my next birthday?

Only been there a couple times, but it was damn good. Much better than I expected

what’s the “sweet spot” thing all about?

by FPTV on Feb 6, 2010 4:57 PM PST reply actions

Probably wanted the ball signed between the laces so it would pull more on ebay, when he should’ve been happy to get one at all

by m34josh on Feb 6, 2010 6:02 PM PST up reply actions

Sweet spot autographs ups the resale value probably by 25%.

In other words, a giant “Hey Barry, let me make money off you” sign. Had he not said anything, he probably would have done it gratis. Douche bag got what he deserved.

Eh, a lot of players sign on the panels instead of the sweet spot. One reason being the resale value, another being that signing on the panels leaves more room for more autographs.

If you are going for a team signed ball, the sweet spot is reserved for the manager.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Next time Lasorda comes to town I say we blockade North Beach.

by Merope on Feb 6, 2010 6:33 PM PST reply actions

But if you try, Lasorda will change into that Barbra Streisand robot character during one episode of South Park (the one where the Cure’s Robert Smith battled).

I just tried chicken and waffles for the first time on Friday in Scottsdale at Lolo’s (a mile or two away from Scottsdale stadium if you’re coming down for ST). It was beyond delicious.

The Giants Way™"If anybody deserves credit for this year’s turnaround it’s these two people, Brian and Bruce," Neukom said. "The encouraging thing is we think we’re back to playing baseball the way it ought to be played."
