Bochy says Posey to AAA is "not etched in stone," and Posey might play some infield in spring training.

Buster Posey says he has gained 15 pounds this winter to boost his durability. Wants to be G’s catcher, but is happy Molina is back.
MUSCLES GAINED
I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

NEEDS MORE INNINGS AT CATCHER TO LEARN HOW TO CATCH. BUT LET’S HAVE HIM PLAY OTHER POSITIONS IN THE MEANTIME

Quite simply, there is not enough flexibility with the available infielders on the roster. If the Giants start the season with 12 pitchers on the 25-man and thus carry 13 position players, and if those include, Molina, Uribe, Sandoval, DeRosa, Bowker, Ishi, Huff, Renteria, Sanchez, Schierholz, Velez, Rowand, and Posey, then only 10 of those position players could play the infield (Molina, Rowand, and Nate are the exceptions). I totaly get it!
I think you want the Guzman thread.

I wouldn't mind Posey at SS
"People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
No wonder Bengie came back. Here comes the three year extension with Posey becoming am infielder permanently.
No Edgar, it's not your fault, it's the fault of the idiot that plays you

I understand what an advantage it is to get offensive production from the catcher’s spot, but wouldn’t it be in the Giants’ best interest to move a hitter of Buster Posey’s capabilities to first base and prolong his career?

Me thinks Sabes just used Steve as a pen name here.
