Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Because I'm a nerd, I just threw together a Sporcle quiz - can you name the 1993 San Francisco Giants? I thought y'all might enjoy it - at least those of y'all who're long-time fans. Even for those of us who remember the season all too well, it's awfully tough to remember all the obscure guys...

Sadly, I cannot even come close to doing that.

I don't know about that, to the groin.

I got 20

kind of a sad showing. I can’t believe I didn’t get Rikkert Faneyte!

I cannot.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

One thing that surprises me

Is that more people don’t get Steve Hosey. He’s a guy I remember pretty well, because he had a good amount of hype as a prospect. I wouldn’t expect most people to guess him, but I would’ve expected him to be guessed more that, say, Paul Faries or Craig Colbert or Terry Bross.

I’m also surprised Bryan Hickerson is so rarely guessed. Only about 10%.

Kevin Rogers, too. Especially since he has a common last name – I’d expect more people to guess him randomly, like is obviously the case with Erik Johnson!

And only because I remembered Steve Hosey. I tried Decker as well, but that didn’t hit.

Good grief there were so many B.O.R. /long relief pitchers it might be what 40 guys that were on the 25 man over the coarse of that season?

I can’t remember how many I got, but since I can’t remember that, it makes sense that I didn’t get too many. i forgot easy ones.
Hey jcb9, could you do one for more recent Giants’ teams? I noticed someone did one for teh 2009 Yankees, I’d love one for the 09 gints
