Q & A with Roger Kieschnick

If nothing else, these Q & A's at least teach us that these guys are taught early on in the organization how to say all the right things... JR: Statistically speaking, about the only area in which you struggled at times last season was in the strikeouts department. What do you have to do going forward to decrease those totals? RK: I think you have to understand what pitches you can and cannot swing at. You have to look and find your pitch and if you don’t get it, then there’s no reason to swing at it until you get to two strikes. I’ve worked a lot this offseason and watched a lot of film. I’ve been swinging the bat a lot and working on my mechanics to clean some stuff up. I’m looking forward to the spring.
