Poll (2 of 2): Chuckie Jones
Just trying to accurately gauge where most prospect-watchers would rank both Chuckie Jones and Charlie Culberson. Again, this is in response to the spirited conversation on the Community Prospect #7 Poll that is ongoing (and thanks to marcello for keeping this tradition going!)
So, where would you rank young OF Chuckie Jones on your own personal list of prospects? Also, please note that there is a Charlie Culberson poll FanPost as well for you to rank him, so vote in both polls. Please, no wagering.

I wonder if the same people voting for Jones and Culberson in the Community Prospect lists are going to vote for them in the 6-10 range on these two polls. I haven’t read all of the comments in the Community Prospect Lists, but I haven’t really noticed anyone coming out and saying why they rank these two so high. I would put them both in the 16-20 range; Culberson has just been WAY too awful in every year he’s been in the organization outside of last year, and we just don’t have enough PAs to rank Jones appropriately. I’d love to see both of them shoot up the Community Prospect Lists this year (because they both have good years, rather than everyone in front of them tanking), but I think I’ll temper my expectations until then.

I have them 7 and 8 on my list. Obviously, I hold their age/league avg. age and power potential as better indicators of their respective ceiling than some. I tend to not get too caught up in Culberson’s first 2 full seasons. He’s revamped his swing since draft day (it’s much shorter), which is key for me. I see his season as a break out and a sign that he’s starting to put it together. Hopefully I’m right.
Given the Giants situation- lower ceiling starters or even high ceiling middle relievers aren’t going to rank as high for me as potential bats, even if the lower ceiling players have a higher potential of sitting on a MLB bench.
