Question:  Did the City go crazier for the Giants or the 49ers when each won their rings?

The first sport I got into was baseball, followed a year later by football.  Somehow, I always felt that San Francisco would go crazier for a Giants championship than the 49ers, though in retrospect, I based that on nothing.

The 80's came, and the Niners started getting their rings and parades.  Now at last, the Giants got their first.

I'm curious to hear from anyone who was living/working/studying in SF at the time of a Niner title and this Giants title to say which one seemed to resonate more with the locals.  Ideally, it would be 1982 vs. 2010, but I know that's going way too far back for most of you.
