Favorite Game of the 2010 Playoffs? (With Poll)
We've had some discussions about this, but I thought it'd be cool to give everyone a chance to say what their favorite game of the 2010 playoffs were. I'll include a brief description to jog your memory, and also my favorite highlight of the game. Feel free to use whatever criteria you want, and be as subjective as you want.
For simplicity's sake, I'm only going to include games that the Giants won. If your favorite game was a game we lost, well, you're weird.
Game One, National League Division Series - Braves at Giants. 1-0.
The first game of the playoffs, and a barn burner. The Giants, fresh off clinching the NL West on the last game of the season, hold court in AT&T park for the first postseason game in San Francisco since 2003. The only run on the game comes after a controversial 'safe' call on Buster Posey and a Cody Ross single. The show, however, is stolen by Tim Lincecum, who turns in the performance of a lifetime on the big stage.
HIGHLIGHT: Lincecum K's 14 in a complete game shutout
Game Three, National League Division Series - Giants at Braves. 3-2.
Known simply as 'The Brooks Conrad Game'.The Giants score early on an error by Conrad in the second on a tough play. The score stays the same until the 8th, when Eric Hinkse comes up huge with a pinch hit 2-run-home-run. Then, the top of the ninth. Travis walks. Freddy singles. Aubrey drives in Travis on a solid base hit. And Buster Posey hits a routine ball to second that just doesn't end well for Conrad...
HIGHLIGHT: In an effort to be nice to Brooks, I'll choose Aubrey's base hit that ties the game.
Game Four, National League Division Series - Giants at Braves. 3-2
The Giants fall behind early on a Brian McCann sac fly off our dear Madison Bumgarner. Cody Ross ties it with a solo home run, but McCann comes roaring back with a dinger of his own to put the Braves back up. Then, in the top of the seventh, Uribe reaches on another controversial call and Aubrey hustles home. Then Cody comes through with an RBI single to give the Giants all the runs they need (that is, just one more than the other guys)
Game One, National League Championship Series - Giants at Phillies. 4-3.
The Giants enter the city of brotherly love and stare down the Cy Young winner, Roy Halladay. You know what happens. Cody Ross puts the Giants on top in the third with a dinger. Carlos Ruiz comes back with a solo shot of his own. Cody comes through again. Then, Pat the Bat hits has his biggest hit of the postseason, doubling home Buster in the 6th. Juan comes up with an RBI single to follow, and it's a good thing too, because Jayson Werth hits a 2 run that that almost allows the Phillies to come back.
HIGHLIGHT: How could it be anything but a Cody dinger?
Game Three, National League Championship Series - Phillies at Giants. 3-0.
Cody provides the first run of the game with an RBI single in the third. Aubrey tacks on another with a single of his own right after. Freddy drives in Rowand in the 5th. But really, we didn't need anything after the first run, because of Matt Cain, Javier Lopez, and Brian Wilson, who combine for a complete game 3-hitter shutout.
Game Four, National League Championship Series - Phillies at Giants. 6-5.
The Giants score twice in the early innings, and Madison appears to have everything under control until a meltdown in the fifth. Victorino drives in Francisco. Polanco drives in Victorino and Utley. Santiago Casilla comes in for relief... and throws a wild pitch that allows Polanco to score. The Giants are down 4-2, and they start clawing back. In the bottom of the fifth, Aubrey drives in Andres with an RBI single. Pablo doubles (twice) and drives in Pat and Cody to put us up by one. But then the bearded bastard Werth strikes again, doubling in Ryan Howard. But in the bottom of the ninth, Huff singles, Posey singles, and we see the most epic jazz hands ever made on a fly out...
Game Six, National League Championship Series - Giants at Phillies. 3-2.
An incredible game. So many things go wrong. Jonathan Sanchez gives up a double to Utley and a sac fly to Werth to put the Giants in an early hole. And he doesn't even survive the third, first walking Polanco then plunking Utley. Jeremy Affeldt comes in against the heart of the Philly lineup with two on and no out... and doesn't allow a runner to move. Madison comes in for two innings of scoreless relief. Javier Lopez once again buzzsaws the heart of the order. And in the top of the eighth, Juan Uribe hits his first opposite field home run in two years to give the Giants a one run lead - and after a shaky relief appearance by Timmy, Brian gets lucky on a double play and shuts down the Phillies, and the Giants win the Pennant.
HIGHLIGHT: Jeremy Affeldt comes in with two on and no out and makes the Phillies look sillie.
Game One, The World Series - Rangers at Giants. 11-7.
A matchup hyped as a pitchers duel turns into anything but. Cliff Lee comes in with the hype of Sandy Koufax but leaves with the results of Todd Wellemeyer. The Giants offense explodes, pinning seven earned runs on Lee in just 4 2/3 innings. Freddy Sanchez becomes the first player in MLB history to double three times in his first three WS at bats. Lincecum struggles too, giving up four in just 5 2/3 innings, but with the explosion of the Giant offense, it's more than enough.
HIGHLIGHT: See Freddy. See Freddy double. And double. And double.
Game Two, The World Series - Rangers at Giants. 9-0.
This one holds a special place in my heart - I was at the game. It's remembered as a blowout, but the game was actually a taught pitcher's duel until the 8th inning. Matt Cain and CJ Wilson traded zeros through the 5th, when Edgar Renteria hit a solo home run to break the tie. Juan Uribe delivered an RBI single in the 7th, and then the Rangers bullpen imploded in the 8th. Matt Cain twirled 7 2/3 innings of shutout ball, turning it over to Javy Lopez and Guillermo Mota to finish off.
Game Four, The World Series - Giants at Rangers. 4-0.
Here's where Madison Bumgarner firmly implanted his name into Giants lore. The young lefty went eight scoreless, striking out 6 and giving up just three hits, and put a golden sombrero on one of the best hitters of our times, Vladimir Guerrero. Aubrey Huff provided all the offense we needed with a towering home run which has yet to fall, and Andres and Buster provided RBI hits just for good measure. Brian Wilson came in to seal the deal, putting the Giants one win away...
Game Five, the World Series - Giants at Rangers. 3-1.
Tim Lincecum. Cliff Lee. With the title on the line. And a pitcher's duel. What more could you expect? Lee and Tim trade zeroes until the 7th, when the forgotten and widely-mocked Renteria comes through with the biggest home run in San Francisco's history (well, maybe that Barry guy would have something to say on that). Tim eventually gives up a meaningless home run to Nelson Cruz, but the damage is done. Tim throws eight, striking out ten in the biggest game of his life. Brian Wilson seals the deal.
So now it's up to you! Vote for your favorite. I had a lot of fun compiling this.

Game 4, NLCS
I would have thought I’d have gone with a game that I attended, but my favorite was game 4 NLCS. It had a bit of everything—a game that they fell behind 4-2 and could not afford to lose, Panda’s big highlight of the post season to put the exclamation on the comeback, Werth’s double and the fact that he got stranded after being at 2nd with no outs.
But the best part was the only walk off of the post-season..epic…—I loved Huff sprinting down the line on the Sac Fly like he was being chased by bees..

I concur. Hearing the finish on the radio (“This . . . game . . . is . . . OVERRRRRRRRR!”) while driving home had me whooping and pounding the steering wheel for several minutes. I started to believe this team was special at that point.
The clinchers were also great, but this was the best pure game of the lot.
I immediately thought of that game too. The only problem with that game now is that the game winner was driven in by the LA Dodgers second baseman.

Yeah, I went with NLCS Game 4 for the same reasons. Last at bat playoff wins turn out to be as awesome as we all imagined.

NLCS game 3 was pretty awesome for me because I was there. WS game 4 was when I really started to believe that they WERE going to win it.
But really, how can you compete with the last game of the Serious?

Yeah, it was a good game. But the game itself was kind of emotionless for me, I never was stressed, having a heart attack or pulling my hair. Unlike the NLCS clincher where I couldn’t even watch the TV and had to drive around listening to it on the radio just survive the night.

I would agree that this particular pitching performance was the most legendary of all of the Giants postseason games this year—comparable to Koufax in 1965. I didn’t vote for that game, although on retrospect maybe I should have: it was tense, exciting, and pretty much everything I love about postseason baseball, minus the opposite field dingers into short porches.

Set the tone...
As the previous poster said, I think this really set the tone for the entire playoff run. Timmy can get the “yips,” and after coming off a tough July/August and strong Sept/Oct, it was important to show the rest of the playoff teams what they would be facing…

NLCS Game 4
Hands down. Game 4 was a pivotal game and the way we won it was just so sweet. I always love walk-off wins but that one is by FAR the best one I’ve ever experienced.
... with spicy club sauce.
IAWTC
We were all standing in the 9th during Uribe’s at bat, thinking that the stars were aligned to favor the Giants. But deep down, it was difficult for many of us to avoid remembering how Posey improbably GIDP’d in virtually the same favorable situation in the 10th inning of the “Ankiel Game”.
When Uribe delivered, I naively thought to myself “this is the best game I have ever been to” – people were practically doing cartwheels in the parking lot. I experienced one of the most intense natural highs ever that evening. In retrospect, I’m sure I have seen better played games at the yard, but given the significance, this one had to be near the top.

I can't really choose...
But I voted for WS Game 2. Matty was just….phenomenal. And to see him finally, finally get his moment on a such a big stage…I…wow.
That said, I could also have gone with WS Games 1 and 3 (1 for Freddy, 3 for MadBum), NLCS game 6 for Affeldt and the bullpen, and NLDS Game 1 for Timmy.
Hard choice.
"Today, it's as if McCovey's line drive finally went through. And the earthquake didn't happen. And Spiezio struck out. And Snow was safe."
I picked Game 4 NLCS...
But it really pained me to not pick either clincher (NLCS or WS), or one of the Cain starts — they weren’t the “best” games of the postseason, but Cain’s starts were the most emotional for me personally. Watching them, I truly felt like I imagine parents do watching their kids. Watching Matt put up with such bad teams around him and their crappy support for him made me want the WS as much for him as for myself.
I don’t think I’ve ever felt more invested in a player. Or at least not since Will Clark was a Giant and I was an obsessed kid calculating his career batting average after every game. But that was a kid watching his idol, this was different — I think Matt Cain may be the first Giant I’ve seen more as a person than a player.

So much this. It was cool to have people like Franchez and Huff finally get a shot at the play-offs, but Matty has given so much to THIS team and has gotten so little back. Timmy got the Cy’s and Sanchy got his no-hitter but Matty has been here longer than either of them. I wanted the WS for Matt so much. And he didn’t just get the World Series ring, he put up an absolutely amazing, historical play-off run. I’m not sure I’ve ever been happier for a player.
And yes, I think part of the reason we all love Cain so much is because he really has come to mean more than just his stats and the velocity on his fastball. For one, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t trade him for anyone. Period.

Giants baseball: We're stupid enough to WIN that (TM)
World Series Game 4.
It was the win that made me realize that the Giants were going to win the World Series.
It also had my favorite post-season moments (favorite because they came from my favorite players).
Posey and Huff hit homeruns.
Torres hit two doubles and had a stolen base.
And Madison Bumgarner pitched a great game despite only being 22 years old.

"Today, it's as if McCovey's line drive finally went through. And the earthquake didn't happen. And Spiezio struck out. And Snow was safe."
I voted for this game because Madison Bumgarner. We all hoped for this when he was called up to make a spot start late in 2009, but none of us could have possibly expected what came to pass.

I think I did a spit take.
I didn’t want to get cocky, but when I first thought we were going to beat Roy Halladay the path to the WS looked much, much easier.

Ross's 2nd home run
For a second, i thought it was a replay of the 1st HR.
Then I realized it wasn’t and got really happy.

My adopted son: Jose Casilla.
I'm sure that you now wish to immediately go and vote for him in the Community Prospect Lists.
Game 6 of the NLCS
I walked to a restaurant to watch it on a big screen.
Stretched out two appetizers and a poboy, eyes locked on the game.
Lincecum came in and pitched out of the stretch like it wasn’t even a question,
Then he gave up the hits and the place went quiet.
Wilson in, and he doesn’t dominate like I remember him now..
Then Howard strikes out looking and the place blows up.
I took a knee right there like I was leaving the pew at Mass.
I don’t think I had any doubts after that.
Giddiness, anxiety, moments of unthinking dread took me,
But I think I knew then.
Look out. I'm having a thought.
Same here
At the end of that game, all I could think about was “There’s no way they just went through all that to lose to the ****ing Rangers!”

excellant question but...
i have so many….
NLDS Game 3 – I was at my brother’s house and we were jumping up like little kids. Hugs and lot of hi 5s that evening. I really thought we were gonna lose that one.
NLCS Game 4 – I was at the game with camera in hand. I watched this game with my wife and we had a blast. Love walking down the ramp and everyone did there chants from uuuuribe or one more win one more win….the best 20 min walk!!!
NLCS Game 6 – Another nail biter. But when Wilson struck out Howard…I felt chills when it was 3rd strike….I was like “we are back in the series!!!”
WS Games – Love em all except game 3, snoozer! HAHA. Mad Bum the 21 yr old sensation was awesome in game 4. And of coarse game 5….basically it free us from 54 years of waiting.
In conclusion….I dont know who to pick. Maybe we should do a poll on your favorite Lockerroom T-Shirt? :D

But the moment I knew this was the team of destiny was Kinsler’s off-the-top-of-the-wall double. I had never seen anything happen like that in a MLB game. That was the first moment when I thought to myself, “Holy shit, they might actually win this thing.”

Game six, NLCS
That game could’ve turned the series. If Affeldt doesn’t get out of that jam, and the Phillies bust that game open, we might not be picking favorite games.
Especially, when Utley tossed the ball back to Sanchez, Sanchez started barking, and the benches cleared. What if Gardner lets Affeldt join the scrum? What if Affeldt doesn’t get warmed up in time, and those runners score? There were so many things that could’ve gone differently about that game which might change the outcome of these playoffs. Obviously, that goes for every game, but it seems like so many little things worked out right for the Giants in this game that I had to pick it.
I don’t know if I enjoyed this game so much as I survived it. I think I nearly passed out by the time Wilson allowed 2 runners in the 9th.
Well put
“I don’t know if I enjoyed this game so much as I survived it.”
I am always tempted to pick this — I actually believe it is the most impressive win in Franchise history — but I can’t because I didn’t enjoy it very much. Like you said, it was a battle, a test, something to overcome not be entertained by.

Game one, NLCS
I have to represent this one, apparently. This was hyped—with fair reason—as one of the great postseason pitching matchups ever, and it did not disappoint Halladay came off the no-hitter, and Timmy had pitched probably the greatest game of his career in the NLDS game one. The entire ESPN universe and every state but Oregon chose the Phils to win the series in five games. All those “Cut Yer Hair” signs and bad voodoo from the overamped Philly crowd. World Series Game 2
Never have I experienced a WTF moment like the 8th inning of that game. I lost my voice after that game which was unfortunate because I had to interview an intern the following morning. Turns out he was at the game too and didn’t have much of a voice afterward. We ended up rescheduling and now my company has hired him on full time.
Great swing from being an on-edge, “torture” level, game to guaranteed win. Plus Mota finished the 9th.

I missed the innings 6-8 in real time...
And then got home in time to catch the bottom of the 9th. I saw the score and immediately IMed a friend with “WTF HAPPENED!?” And then laughed and laughed when she sent me to a website with the summary. It was just ridiculous.

NLCS, Game 6
Such a great team effort, really showed how the Giants never give up.
The bullpen was awesome that game too.
NLCS Game 6
Game 5 of the World Series was obviously more emotional, given what the ending meant.
Game 4 of the NLCS was perhaps more “dramatic” and given that it was at home, the Giants fans played a huge role in willing their team to victory.
But Game 6 of the NLCS was fucking crazy. Remember, Phillies had won Game 5, they were at home, and now they’ve got Dirty on the ropes not even three innings into the game…they were on the verge of blowing things open and forcing a Game 7, which frankly, I doubt the Giants would have won. Affeldt comes in out of nowhere and shuts down the big hitters for two innings. MadBum gets knocked around a bit but keeps the Phillies scoreless for two innings. Javier Lopez gets the job done. Tim Lincecum gets a crucial out, and then Brian Wilson comes in for a five-out save. Giants “bullpen” that night: 7 innings, five hits, two walks, NO RUNS. Oh, and Jazz Hands hits his first opposite-field home run basically in forever.
It was tortuous, I lost years off my life in those three hours, and yet I’ll never forget what a great team performance it was.
"I could hear the angry MCC cacophany in my head."--Oldjacket, 7/4/10
The box score says it all
The two teams combined for 21 hits and 7 walks… and 5 runs scored. It was LOBiest game I’ve ever seen.
Gotta be WS Game 5
Even if we’d lost that one, we were coming home with two more to play. There just weren’t as many nerves or thoughts of doom while watching that one and Timmy immediately showed that he was Big Time Timmy-Jim again.
Besides, that one had the best post-game in the history of the world.
My favorite OUT of the playoffs
was when Timmy fielded the 2nd out of the 8th in WS Game 5 and just tossed a ROCKET to Huff to get Andrus out.
That throw should have been included in the pitch count.
Still waiting for the Kaboom of Doom, Sandoval.

THE GIANTS WON THE WORLD SERIES

SO many moments
I chose game 5 of the World Series, but they’re all great to me.

Game 3 NLDS
Aka, the Brooks Conrad game.
Great pitchers duel by Sanchez and Hudson. Then,
Romo blows it in the 8th again, but the Giants mount a comeback in the 9th. With one out, Ishikawa walks(huge) and then Freddy gets a single. Huff then gets a single to tie the game. Finally, Posey hits the ball to Conrad to win the game!

I would say the World Series clincher, but the fact that it was Game 5 and we had a 3-1 lead plus a lead in the ninth with two outs and nobody on, it had already settled in (though I consciously denied it to avoid any jinxes) and there was insurance in case we lost.
By far the most exhilarating game for me was Game 3 of the NLDS. I was devastated after losing to the Rick Ankiel home run, and now Eric Hinske has to hit that home run on us and raise his fist in the air to proclaim victory. And honestly, it did feel like defeat, it felt like the season was over in the most frustrating possible way.
All of the wins, I felt very content the rest of the day, and some I even was still very hyped up an hour or so after, but that victory had me jumping around like 5 hours afterward.
Second place was the Juan Uribe sac fly game (did not expect us to be able to hit Oswalt), third was the NLCS clincher (that one was extremely close to having everything fall apart, and I really did not expect Affeldt’s season saving outing or that Juan Uribe home run), fourth the WS clincher, and fifth the opening game against Cliff Lee (I loved shutting up everyone who said we had no offense/no chance against the chosen one).
yea those first 2 just felt the sweetest afterwards. the LCS clincher was insane too.the dinger and that double play liner had me going bonkers.
I wish I could capture the entire 2010 season in a bottle. It will never feel THIS good.

For me, it's got to be World Series game 4
The Rangers had just one the 3rd game in rather convincing fashion, and although the giants were in the game still, it seemed to me as if the Rangers had gotten much of the momentum back and were primed to sweep at home and send the series back to San Francisco with a Rangers lead.
Then, Madison Bumgarner happened. The dude put on one of the best pitching performances i have ever seen. In The World Series, at age 21. 21 years old and he pitched with the most poise I’ve seen a giant pitch with pretty much all year.
It was a gem of a game, and you gotta love Huff’s classy Homerun and Torres and Posey magic. Just beautiful.
It absolutely gave me faith that baseball is the best game in the world, and that it means everything to me.
Honorable mention for the playoff clinching game against the Pads
It was the only clincher at home and the crowd high-fiving lap around the field was incredible
The thong is, it happened.
The beauty of this thread is that ALL of these are convincing answers
And it’s nice to relive the magical run. I wrote in favor of NLCS Game 1, but just reading these makes me stunned yet gain what the Giants accomplished. Kudos to Josh from Hollywood’s defense of Cain’s outings—identified exactly how I felt watching them (like a proud parent), although I hadn’t actually been able to find words for it.

WS game 2
Purely selfish … I was there … it was sad to see the Texas bullpen roll over like that (it was!) but Matt Can was invincible and we just kept scoring runs, and it was the highlight of my baseball life and probably always will be.

NLCS Game 6
This is probably the best playoff game I have ever watched. Bochy’s managing, benches cleared, Gardner keeping his head, Victorino ALMOST going Willie Mays on us, Uribe, and WTF is Howard taking a 2 strike pitch which is THAT CLOSE, but thank you very much!!! And the Giants winning the pennant!!!
I agree with above assertions that if the Phillies had won that one, game 7 would have been upsetting.
I agree with what everybody above me sez!
And I plan on hacking the system so I can vote for all the games! What is really cool is that each game has a magical gem (or a few) that you can take home and savor.
But the NLCS Game 6 (OMG) was a train wreck… on both sides of the diamond.. and I was riveted like I was watching a construction project accident! It seemed like the game had everything, There was the grudge pitching, Bochy’s managing and every pitcher pitching! It had bench clearing brawls (well kinda)!, fake pinch hitters in the on deck circle! It took the whole team to right the ship.. And to top it off we won by one run just to torture us (or is it them). It seemed to epitomized the sort of one run brawl’s we had been winning all season. And as my son sez.. ‘Dad they one the Peanut!’
My favorite conspiracy theory of the season is to imagine that that wiley Manager Bochy staged Sanchez’s meltdown because he knew he had to kill the Phillies momentum somehow and keep it from going to a game 7!
the two BEST games were...
LCS game 4 and LDS game 3 in that order. These were the 2 games where the bats won it. get the big hit, or lose the game. and when have the Giants ever gotten the big hit. Only times we were on the brink of losing control of a series. There was actually doubt in these 2 games unlike all the other games where pitching just mowed every one down. The kind of doubt that comes from the years of heartbreak that always holds true. And damnit did the giants ever come thru. We were one out away from being down 2-1 to the Braves, and youu had to be thinking about the Mets and Marlins series. In LCS game 4, we had to come back, only to let Philly tie it, and the odds had to be against us pushing one across before Philly did, because you had to be sure we used our “one time” on the Pablo double. The other team always got the big hit and that’s how it’s always been. Once in a while we get a Brian Johnson homer, but we have to live through a Finley grand slam, a “this is not good folks”, a Speizio homer, a Glaus double, a Benny Agbayani homer. When we want that big hit, and need that big hit, we get thrown out at home and Pudge holds on, we get one-hit by Bobby Jones, we make noise but fall short against the Cubs. Heck we just saw Ankiel do it. then Fred Flinstone himself Eric Hinske gets us. Those 2 games proved to me that something different was going on. We finally got the big hit.
I wish I could capture the entire 2010 season in a bottle. It will never feel THIS good.

I picked NLDS game 1
I went to the only 2 home losses in the NLDS and NLCS so every win was the best win ever up to winning the WS. Game 1 in retrospect because that was Timmy in playoff action showing he deserved his 2 Cy Youngs and that the Giants were more than capable of winning tight games in the post season which proved to be a very valuable attribute down the stretch.
I'm talking about Mountain Dews baby.
NLCS Game 1
When we beat Doc and won game 1, I remember allowing myself to think for the first time that we actually could win the world series with this team.
After such a sloppy div series, it was the kind of statement that the team needed to be considered a real threat.
55-year-old Bonds could hit better than these chumps.

NLCS Game 5
It’s the only one I went too and even though we lost I loved the atmosphere of a potential clinching game. My seats were awesome, The Steve Perry moment was cool. The only bad thing was crying all the way home that night.
I was right there with you.
Alas, I was at both home losses, NLDS 2 and NLCS 5. Next year I will go and they WILL win with me in the stands!
I'm talking about Mountain Dews baby.
Tenshions high, Utley Whines, Benches Clear, URIBE!, Timmy in relief?, Howard Strikeout, Headed to the WS
NLCS Game 6 for me.
"For all you first-basemen who played first your whole life, that's where Buster plays on his OFF days" - Kuiper
NLDS Game 3
The most pivotal game of the playoffs in my opinion, and the one in which we came the closest to losing. Craig Kimbrel had been absolutely unhittable all series, and I mean nobody had even come close to barreling up one of his pitches. So to somehow survive a 2-out situation against him in the 9th with Ishi and a struggling Freddy Sanchez is still the most unbelievable moment of the whole run for me.
NLCS Game 4
I was actually cheering harder at the end of that game than any other game. When Uribe hit that Sac fly to end it, you knew this team was for real, and maybe the prognosticators were wrong…

NLDS Game 3
I voted for this game because watching that game, I don’t remember ever going through such a gamut of emotions (although I must say Game 4 of the NLCS came close).
It was just such an amazing pitching game by Sanchez…making the Braves hitter look silly. But it was a game where as a Giants fan, I never really felt comfortable, even though Sanchy looked so dominant. Keep in mind, we knew not of the Magic that the rest of the post season had in store for us, and that we had just lost Game 2 at home in a gut puncher, and with 2002 looming still fresh in my mind, when Romo came in and gave up that homer to Hinske, I thought that was it. There goes our season.
But then, walk, hit (with 2 strikes mind you), a sinking liner, and routine ball turned into a run scoring error later, you could see that something truly special was brewing. Luck was finally on our side. If somehow we had lost that game, I think that could have been our exit.
So NLDS Game 3 is my pick.
I'm sorry, I won't rank the games.
It would be like trying to rank my children by how much I love each of them.
As one of three, I know perfectly well that not only are you capable of doing that, but you have done it and use those rankings on a daily basis.
Ain't no Posey like a Buster Posey cause a Buster Posey don't stop...hitting.

They all now pay their own taxes, so I equally love them all, just more.
