He reportedly had a good throwing arm
But couldn’t hit at all

This actually makes sense...
I remember seeing the guys slash line and wondering why the heck they got him.
"Today, it's as if McCovey's line drive finally went through. And the earthquake didn't happen. And Spiezio struck out. And Snow was safe."
This guy couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.
His CS% numbers are pretty pedestrian, too. There’s no real way of telling, but I’m pretty sure the Giants don’t have much to work with. I guess he could hide in the back of the bullpen in Richmond for a whole year, but that seems like a stretch. Awesome name, though.

So you don’t think they scouted him before coming up with this plan?
The thong is, it happened.
I’m sure they did, but on the other hand, if they took one look at his name and said, “sign that guy! I don’t care the cost!” I wouldn’t blame them one bit.

He's a low-risk guy, and I'm sure he has a little upside.
With that said, I was just pointing out that we can’t really expect much from him.
I'm just saying
Looking up his hitting numbers and CS% will tell you about as much about his prospects of converting to a pitcher as looking up his dental records.
If they grabbed him and immediately announced they’re going to try converting him, there has to be something they saw in his throwing motion they liked. Perhaps he was slow to get rid of the ball, but they clocked his throws at 95mph. That’s what happened with Rodriguez and the Dodgers if I remember the story correctly

Yeah, you're right.
I looked at CS% very well aware of their uselessness, but I didn’t have much to go off of.
The Pedro Feliz scheme!
?
Aaron King, please pitch better.
