That's a long survey! But here goes...

Song that makes you feel happy: Fuck You, by Cee-Lo Green. It’s the most joyful expression of hostility and pain I’ve ever heard.

Song you listen to when you’re sad. Flooding, by Kristin Hersh. The saddest song ever written.

Song you listen to when you’re angry. Bad Habit, by The Offspring. “When I show him my piece, complaints cease.”

Song that makes you laugh. Sit On My Face, by Monty Python.

Song you listen to, to CALM DOWN The Sea, by Morcheeba.

Song you listen to, that gets you pumped up. Bright Yellow Gun, by Throwing Muses.

Top 5 songs from 3 different decades (ie 80’s/90’s/00’s)

I’m going to pick the 70s, 90s, and 00s, because I like the 70s better than the 80s.

70s:
Fantasy, by Earth Wind And Fire
Desperados Under the Eaves, by Warren Zevon
Awaken, by Yes
I Am A Woman In Love, by Barbra Streisand
The Chain, by Fleetwood Mac

90s:
Bright Yellow Gun, by Throwing Muses (really, this whole list could be songs from their “University” album)
Three Days, by Jane’s Addiction
Spring, by Kristin Hersh
Light From A Dead Star, by Lush
Do You Love Me, by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds

00s:
Flooding, by Kristin Hersh (also just about anything else from her Crooked album)
Destroy Everything You Touch, by Ladytron
The Past Is A Grotesque Animal, by Of Montreal
Houston, by R.E.M.
This Fire, Franz Ferdinand

And of course, discuss any new music you’ve listened to.

“Crooked” by Kristin Hersh is by far my favorite album of the past several years. Just packed with incredible songs, especially Crooked, Krait, and Flooding. Clever packaging, too—it’s sold as a hardcover book, with photos and essays about each song, and, instead of a CD, has a code you can use to download the album, demos, and even a commentary track.

Anyway, I wanted to ask if there was a fanpost or fanshot where people were exchanging songs for a 2010 Giants playlist?

Ryan Rohlinger lives in my basement. I let him out to play baseball.

Hmm, I amend the third answer: Main Street, by “Chris Gaines” – pretty much encapsulates most of my existential rage.
