I apologize for this being too early to ask this. Its just the offseason can be boring and once an idea comes into my mind I can't suppress it. I think this eventually will be an important topic.
This is assuming Aubrey Huff resigns and I see that as having a 95% chance of happening. We are also probably going to resign Cody Ross.
I wonder who will be in the outfield and who will be the first baseman.
I can see us trading Ishi for a reliever when Belt comes up. Then having them kind of having dual playing time at first.
One will play in the OF and the other will play first. So say Huff is in LF primarily and Belt is our 1B. If Huff needs a day off. We will have Nate start in his place. When Belt needs a day off, Huff will man first and Nate will start.
Is that too much to ask for or what?
