After hearing over and over again how much the Catcher position drains the body physically, isn't it about time to move our best future asset out of that position?
Buster played some 1B last season and played pretty well IMO, I remember one big play he made throwing to home plate and then asked me to hang out with him and we partied all night. I think my memory is kinda blurry.
So with Buster at 1B, we can move Huff to an outfield position, and then try to pick up the best catcher on the market, Victor Martinez.
Martinez batted .300 with 20 HRs. Not that bad, especially if you equate that from the AL East to the NL West, if I do my calculations correctly, I think that's batting .450 with 59 HRs in the NL west.
And if Victor is too expensive, what about someone like Miguel Olivo? Solid batter, .270 with 14 HRs.
But here is the lineup I'm proposing folks
