And in the end... the love you take is equal to... NO TORTURE!  Shocking, really, right?  Series win in 5.  2, almost 3 shutouts.  2 completely clean 9th inning saves by Wilson.  How un-Giants like, especially for this season. 

I have been following since 1971.  I was 5 and at the game when Bob Robertson jacked 3 home runs.  I was at the Quake game in 1989.  I was at one of the 2002 games (a win, actually).  This year, I had a ticket for Game 6, but am so glad I did not have to use it. 

I knew going in that Texas had to be worried about Renteria.  Yeah, those Giant pitchers are OK, but the guy we really fear is Edgar Renteria.  So I guess it makes one of our worst signings ever worth it somehow.  I just hope we don't give a similar player a similar contract next year. 

Anyway, we can all die happy now.  Tonight we celebrate, or at least breathe a sigh of relief.
