Hi, I am scout6 and I have something to say.
I was totally and unequivocally wrong about Freddy Sanchez. And I have never been happier to admit I was wrong about something.
For those of you that have been around for a while, at the beginning of the season I had quite a few fun things to say about Mole. For instance:
Sorry to have to be the one to tell you thisBut Freddy Sanchez is not going to be an improvement, as a matter of fact it subtracts Uribe from the line up.
and
You know, until Tuesday, when Sanchez's shoulder snaps in two, launching his arm into the other Sanchez on the mound.
or
Well as you all well know, Sanchez came back in May, played in 111 games and helped the Giants this year to a line of
.292 /.342 /.397 for an OPS of .739
And to top it off, he knocked in Sanchez for the first run of today's NL West clinching game. Without him, the Giants possibly do not win this game.
He caught fire the second half of the season, especially in the late months.
2nd Half:
.298 /.337 /.424 OPS .762
August:
.356 /.402 /.500 OPS .902
September/October:
.304 /.340 /.500 OPS .840
So thank you Freddy Sanchez, for proving me wrong and being a productive member of the NL West winning Giants. I was totally wrong about you, and would absolutely love for you to continue raking into the post season.
If you wish you may add words/images of praise for the Moled one in the comments section. You've earned it Mr. Mole.
