Actually Urban made a good observation in the pre-game
In hindsight it was probably stupid of management to move Cain up a day. Because of off days the last few weeks, the pitchers have been pitching on 5 days rest lately. Also, the decision was made late, so his normal schedule was also disrupted.
I’m not making excuses for Cain, but as I said in hindsight it probably would have been better to have him pitching on his scheduled day.

he’s been slumping of late but the ERA is close and I would imagine batting average against is better for Sanchez. If Sanchez can throw strikes I think he’s a very tough match up for them.

the Giants would need to lose 3 in a row to be out of play-offs. Good thing we have Cain ready to go Tuesday againts the Braves. Now I get why Bochy flip-flopped him and Zito.
I was under the impression that
if the Braves get swept by the Phillies, even if the Padres sweep us (knock on fucking wood), we’d still win the wildcard. Though we’d have to face the Phillies in the first round.

…It will be better to hear K&K calling the Giants victory tomorrow.
…The Padres fans are now all excited again, a win tomorrow with an ATL win and their hopes are once again crushed.
…It would be nice to have Ross, Fontenot, Burrell and Guillen all go nuts on Latos tomorrow.
