Assuming that Uribe is not in the lineup, it's safe to assume that Renteria will play SS and Sandoval will play 3B. Outside of Cody Ross, the other Giants bats need to come alive in this critical game3 as well as the other two games. If Uribe is able to go I'd rather use him in key situation as a pinch hitter if the game is close or use him as double switch and or possibly start him in the next game...Here's the lineup I'd go with.
On a side note, Torres, Rowand, Fontenot and Ishikawa should be used as pinch runners/hitters and basically backups.
Sanchez bats leads off...This allows Torres or Fontenot to be used as a pinch runner. Ideally I'd like Torres to bat lead off since he's done relatively well as our lead off hitter but this is the post season and need to play smart, flawless and aggressive baseball.
Renteria is the #2 hitter. His best situational #'s is when he bats 2nd. He really needs to show the saavy experience he's supposed to bring.
Huff bats #3. Huff batting #3 is kind of crazy but think he's up for the challenge. His situational stats is proof in the pudding.
Burrell bats as the #4 hitter...
Posey@5...Hopefully this moves allows Posey to relax and focus a bit more at the plate.
Sandoval or Schierholtz at 7/8 spot. Panda bats at #7 so he can't hit into a DP. Baseball experts predict that Hamels will throw more changeups thrown to Ross so Bochy could move Ross up to as #3 or #4 hitter.
That's my two cents on what the lineup should be...but hope whatever Bochy puts out there, gets it done!!! Go Giants and lets go for a sweep!!!
