I think the point of the article is that teams will be able to UNDERpay for those guys, and I don’t know that Sabean has been doing exactly that.

There was actually an article on Hardball times a while back that hinted at the same thing. The thesis there was people whose careers make it past a certain age, hold up quite well for a spurt more.

Wisconsin: Famous for dairy, Ryan Rohlinger and not much else.

Yeah, I remember that article. It stated that it was Sabes own twisted version of Moneyball.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.
