San Francisco’s Pablo Sandoval powered the Navegantes del Magallanes to the best-of-seven championship series against Caracas. The series begins tonight.
Sandoval, 23, hit .395/.425/.604 in 20 regular-season games, then batted .477/.500/.932 with five home runs in 10 playoff appearances.
Maybe I'm incorrect, but didn't Giants brass pull him out of Winter ball?

yeah, Pablo has left, but the team continues to do well without him. They’re actually playing against Jesus Guzman’s team, so I guess we all have to switch allegiances. Another question. Is Ramon Ortiz still in the Giants’ organization? He started for Caracas last night and left after facing six batters, all who had hits. They don’t need Panda if that’s the level of pitching they’re going to face.
No Edgar, it's not your fault, it's the fault of the idiot that plays you

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Hyper beam?
The Kids: Lewis, Posey, Sandoval, Bowker, Schierholtz, Frandsen, Ishikawa, Amezaga
Current Team: Rowand, Sanchez, DeRosa, Sandoval, Huff, Molina, Renteria, Schierholtz
The Kids' CHONE WAR projection= 12.7
Current Team's CHONE WAR projection= 12.6
Is this some sort of counterpoint to the ICEE bear?

Those Post Season Splits Are 2002 Bondsian - Awsome!
Did he really leave after the first 10 playoff games and thus is not going to partake in the Championship Series? This does not make a lot of sense to me. I am thinking he is likely still there.
I'm worried about his dependence on batting average
Just kidding, those numbers are awesome.

I was just thinking the same thing. He’s hardly walking! In 2009 the difference between his avg and obp was 57 points, in these winter games its half that. He’s becoming even more of a hacker! He’s hitting 400 though. Swing away panda!

I wouldn’t be concerned over his lack of walks. It’s winter baseball, and I think the pitchers over there are just concentrating on throwing strikes and getting in shape, much like major league spring training. Once the regular season starts and he goes into the Giants’ lineup hitting in front of Aubrey Huff, he’s going to have to take walks because they won’t be throwing him strikes.

Can he bat in more than one spot in the lineup?
No, I mean simultaneously.
