My Little Giants

Presenting your 2009 San Francisco Giants... in miniature form. I've been wanting to draw everyone on the 25 man roster because I'm insane and thought it would be fun. I may move on to the 40-man roster from there to get in some fan favorites.

Star-divide

Here is your starting five:
Giants_starters_medium
Lincecum, Zito, Cain, Sanchez, Penny
(click the image for a larger size)

I'll move onto the infielders next.

Clockwise from left: Sandoval, Renteria, F. Sanchez, Ishikawa, Garko, Uribe

L to R: Velez, Rowand, Winn, Lewis, Schierholtz, Torres

L to R: Molina, Whiteside, Posey

L to R: Affeldt, Howry, Medders, Romo, Valdez

How come the starting rotation all look Asian (although Tim is half)?

If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding.

by SFGuy on Sep 8, 2009 1:14 AM PDT reply actions

I think that’s more of a stylistic thing. That anime style automatically triggers “Asian” in your head. I don’t think any of them really look Asian. They look more “Animeistic”.

You’re probably right about the anime style but I think Sanchez definitely looks Asian. This is true because I’m Asian and that picture looks exactly like my uncle. Minus the uniform and pitching motion.

But still, awesome work, Natto.

I think they look Asian because they look like people I know and, as some of you know, I am Asian.

Glad you are channeling that insanity to good use…Creative and kept you off the streets at night. I like it. Maybe start a support group and get more misguided Giants fans off the streets and into your art program? Let’s face it, without some hitters, the Giants fans might as well take up drawing, knitting, etc. to kill the pain when they are at the plate…Whatever works…Before long 4/20 will be requirded to get through a whole game….How about 4/20 day next year? Give the season ticket holders a reason to live….?
