In 13 games on the road this season, Carpenter is 7-3.

In 14 games on the road this season, Tim is 5-4.

I know, wins aren’t everything, but sports writers think road wins > everything you could ever do.

Wins and ERA on the road = Better than Tim's

LIke I said just a few posts ago, Carpenter has given up 24 earned runs in 13 road games, while Lincecum has given up 31 in 14.

Seven run difference between one road start. Giants suck on the road, but Tim’s pitching has not been AS unbelievably dominating on the road as it has been at home.

It’s not all about that, but sports writers go all bukkake status when they see a pitcher dominate on the road.

49ers, Giants, Lakers. One of these things is not like the others.

Which is ridiculous because, while road innings are generally tougher, home innings count, too. It just never ceases to amaze me how baseball writers (generally) don’t understand how to evaluate baseball.
