Just kind a of a superstition. Every team I was on had some sort of “thing” we’d do. Some teams I played against did some really weird rituals

ERA: earned runs allowed/innings pitched = x/9. Solve for x.

x(innings pitched) = (earned runs allowed)9

x = (earned runs allowed)9/innings pitched

I do better with word problems. So ERA is how many earned runs the pitcher allowed per nine innings. So it’s addition and then division, right? When you calculate the season ERA do you just add all the runs and divide by all the innings, or something else?

2a) A ball-carrier is allowed to progress until he is brought to the ground. Think National Geographic videos.
2b) The field is 100 yards long. A team has four tries (“downs”) to advance the ball ten yards. If they are successful in moving ten yards or more, they earn a fresh set of four downs. Failing that, they must surrender the ball to the other team.

3) Not at first. Of all your available smoking options, I can only recommend the one that famously has some medicinal properties. Tobacco, crack… not so much.

5) Not a musical theatre major, but thank you.
